Problématique générale
Mes recherches portent essentiellement sur l’origine et l’histoire évolutive des Anthracotheriidae et des artiodactyles basaux de l’Ancien Monde.
Ateliers d’étude
Je travaille principalement sur les restes d’ongulés du Tertiaire d’Afrique et d’Eurasie.
Depuis quelques années je collabore également avec Jean-Jacques Jaeger, Yaowalak Chaimanee et Olivier Chavasseau (PALEVOPRIM) en étudiant le matériel d’artiodactyles de Pondaung (Paléogène, Myanmar), de Thaïlande (Paléogène et Néogène) et de Na Duong (Paléogène, Vietnam).
Je collabore également avec Géraldine Garcia et Xavier Valentin (PALEVOPRIM) sur plusieurs sites fossilifères en France (Moissac, Portel, Faluns de Touraine, …).
Terrain principal
Je codirige les fouilles dans les dépôts de l’Oligocène supérieur du Bassin du Turkana (Nord Kenya).
