LOCKWOOD Victoria
Postdoctoral researcher
Main research question
My research focuses on the level of behavioural resolution that it is possible to obtain from skeletal morphology and the implications for the potential arboreal locomotor capabilities of fossil hominins. I focus on the appendicular skeleton, particularly the upper limb.
Topics of study
I use a combined biomechanical, comparative morphology, and primatology methodological approach to investigate the form-function relationship.
I examine behaviour specific morphological variation in the skeleton alongside investigating the range of behavioural variation within and between primate species.
