Description

The series acquisition-processing of PALEVOPRIM is associated with a platform of physical restitution composed of 3D printers with wire deposits (ABS, PLA, etc.). The current systems include:

• Zortrax M200-PLUS printer permitting printing volumes of 200×200×180 mm for a resolution of 100 µm
• Raise3D Pro printer permitting printing with two extruders (printing heads) on a maximum volume of 305 x 305 x 300 mm.

Use

3D printing systems permit to realize a physical rendering of virtual objects obtained by segmentation and processing of 3D data (for example, extraction of internal structures, reconstitution of missing or deformed fossil parts).

Funding

The available material has been acquired by co-fundings from the CNRS, the University of Poitiers and the Poitou-Charentes ex-region (New Aquitaine region).
