Research objective
My research aims to establish the exhaustive list of the fauna of Mio-Pliocene rodents in Chad, describe them and compare them with other African faunas in order to know their geographical distribution, their biochronological age, their paleoecology and paleoenvironments.
Research subject
My research focuses on the evolutionary history of Mio-Pliocene rodent faunas in central Africa. I am particularly interested in the rodent faunas discovered in Chad in the fossil-bearing areas of the Djourab erg. In the course of my research, taxonomic and dental tribological analyses coupled with biogeochemical analysis of carbon and oxygen isotopes will be carried out to achieve the objectives set.
Main Field
I participate in the field excavations conducted within the framework of the Franco-Chadian Palaeontological collaboration (DUHNE programme) and the « Franco-Chadian Paleoanthropological Mission (MPFT) » in North Chad in the erg of Djourab in North Chad on the fossil sites of Toros-Menalla, Kossom-Bougoudi, Kollé and Koro-Toro.
Other responsibilities
Assistant at the Department of Palaeontology, University of N’Djamena-Chad and at the Palaeontology Service of the National Research Centre for Development (CNRD), N’Djamena-Chad.
