CHAVASSEAU Olivier
Assistant professor
Deputy director of the Unit
Main research question
My research explores the evolution of anthropoid- and hominoid-bearing faunas in the Cenozoic of Southeast Asia.
Topics of study
I am particularly interested in the evolution of large mammals, including that of anthropoid primates and hominoids.
Fieldworks
It is within this framework that I participate in the field excavations of the Paleontological Mission-French-Burma in the Eocene (Pondaung Formation) and the Miocene (Irrawaddy Formation).
Other responsibilities
- Directeur adjoint de l’Unité de Formation Géosciences
