3rd Virtual Conference for Women Archaeologists and Paleontologists

Following the success of the first two editions, the VCWAP is back in March 2023!

Once again, our objective is to offer women researchers at the beginning of their career (i.e. without a permanent position, from master degree to post-doctorate) the opportunity to gain visibility by presenting the recent advances of their research work.

The 3rd VCWAP will be held on March 6th, 7th and 8th, 2023 on the occasion of the International Women’s Rights Day. It will again be free of charge and in a virtual format in order to allow as many people as possible to participate.

Thanks to the precious support of the Wenner-Gren Foundation, some new features will be proposed this year:

• a gallery of reconstructions to highlight the work of women paleo-artists
• live exchanges on the Gather Town platform
• a round table on the question of gender in fieldworks, with Béline Pasquini (Paye Ta Truelle) and Sara Gamboa (Mujeres con los Pies en la Terra)
• a workshop for speakers, led by Transmitting Science

In total, there will be more than 90 scientific contributions (oral communications, posters and paleo-artistic reconstructions) that you can discover!

As for the two previous editions, if the speakers are only women without a permanent position, the audience is of course open to all!
