January 2024: start of postdoctoral position at the University of Michigan
Axelle Gardin
As part of her postdoctoral project at the Isotopologue Paleoscience Laboratory at the University of Michigan, Axelle collaborates with Naomi Levin, supported by funding from the Franco-American Fulbright Commission.
Her current focus is on constructing a contemporary reference database for triple oxygen isotopes in current crocodilian species. This step is crucial before applying the technique to fossil crocodilian teeth to enhance our understanding of the evolution of water availability in past environments
