Vertebrate Paleontology Collection
Description
The vertebrate paleontology collection, mirroring scientific developments made by different teams since the 1960s (Chair of Vertebrate Paleontology and Laboratory of Geobiology, Biochronology and Human Paleontology), includes thousands of vertebrate remains, mainly mammals and “reptiles” coming from regional sites of New Aquitaine.
Use
This collection is a true research asset and constitutes a reference material for conducting our scientific research. It comprises numerous type and illustrated specimens, referenced in the database Tyfipal.
Funding
Acquisition and management of this collection is mostly funded by the University of Poitiers.
